Everyone knows that scarves are a sure-fire way to get warm, fast.
But did you know that there is quite possibly nothing that gets you as warm, as fast, as Peruvian highland wool? I discovered this while living in Peru. Buying fabrics and yarn at the local markets, I was constantly surprised at just how warm a vest or a thin scarf or a short bolero jacket in highland wool would make me feel, all over. That's where I learned to value not just a scarf, but a scarf in the right material.
Knitting is one of those things I do to relax and pass the time, so these scarves have made it through long subway rides, interminable meetings, and the movies my spouse and kid love but that I can't quite focus on. (Read: sci-fi, specifically. I love my family, but they have weird tastes in entertainment. I think they say the same thing about me, but who doesn't love BBC period dramas? I rest my case).
Because we know you are cold now, I have uploaded all the highland wool scarves already in stock. However, should you or your loved ones have particular color needs, just let me know and I'll fire up the knitting needles.
