How to lead a balanced life

As many of you know, I don't always walk around trees and flowers all day and think up beautiful clothes. I wish! In fact, I launched Kær in early 2015 specifically as a counter-balance to the other passion in my life: the push for justice. (I suppose when it comes right down to it, there are four real passions in my life: my family, creating clothing, justice, and sailing. In that order).

Passion number 4: sailing.

Passion number 4: sailing.

To be entirely honest, I still don't really have any idea of how to live a balanced life, but I'm getting better at it. I suppose the main components are: 1) knowing what matters to me; 2) actually prioritizing those things; and 3) enjoying the process. All of those elements can be elusive, but when all else fails: breathe.

ANYWAY, where I was going with this was (partial non-sequitur) that sometimes what matters is collaboration and partnership. This month, I am particularly excited about our new partnership with Rise Sports Eyewear, a venture started by Theresa and Akbar Majeed and grounded - just like Kær - in a desire to bring the passion for arts and social justice together. We have paired up with Rise's new sub-brand RAD Eyewear to produce sunglasses that, indeed, are solidly rad. Available now

These are my favorites, for several reasons, the most important of which is that they look good on me (ha!). But also: these glasses feature bouquets my mother arranged from her garden. It's personal, y'all.

Also, in case you missed the earlier notice, we are still running our pre-sale for yogawear, but only for another week! Get your balance on :)
