Someone is very good at flower-arranging. It's not me.

Me? I can't even keep flowers alive. Maybe that's why I love them so much on fabric: they can't very well keel over from lack of water or sunlight or whatever it is they need ... can they?

Fortunately, I am blessed with a spouse who is an expert flower-keeper-aliver. Because otherwise, our windowsill would be sadly empty...

My mother is the green thumb in the family, and you get the full benefit of that, because most of the most loved and cherished Kær prints, I have developed from her amazing garden on Samsø in Denmark. The garden is always full of inspiration, regardless of the season (look at this amazing winter shot!

But perhaps the most inspirational are my mother's seasonal flower arrangements. Two of them made in onto our best-selling bouquet print.

I just love the lavender and fresh green colors in these bouquets. In fact, I love them so much that once I had made them into fun joy skirts, I continued. I made a bomber jacket. And a day-to-night dress. And I am sure there is more beauty to come, because every time I find a remnant of the fabric, my creative wheels are churning.

I've been told Amal Clooney loves the bomber in particular. And who can blame her? It's impossible to be sad when you are wearing these bouquets. Trust me, I have tried :)
